The club was formed in the early 70`s and, apart from York Chess Club, have the longest continuous membership of the York Chess League. We have, for most of this time, entered two teams in the league and currently have two teams playing at Shepherds Social Club, Holgate Road, York. The first team play Default league matches on Mondays and the second team play on Thursdays. We do also occasionally have club nights and any prospective new members would be made most welcome.
